For this role, we are looking for someone who can:

  • Analyse processes and data structures across a wide range of medical domains
  • Work closely with clinicians to identify, structure, and systematise clinical documentation requirements
  • Ensure the adoption and further development of clinical information models and terminologies to achieve semantic interoperability
  • Collaborate closely with national and international standardisation initiatives and organisations
  • Support the translation and mapping between different healthcare data models and standards
  • Design and implement data integration pipeline between proprietary systems and open healthcare data standards
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on medical data structures, particularly in the areas of analytics, machine learning, and clinical decision support systems
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer activities for internal and external users in the field of healthcare data modelling

What you bring along

  • You are keen to work intensively within interdisciplinary teams on the modelling of clinical data using openEHR, FHIR and terminologies (e.g. ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC)
  • A successfully completed degree, preferably with a focus on medicine, medical informatics and/or medical information management
  • You have a sound knowledge of fundamental methods in computer science (programming, scripting, databases, system administration)
  • You have experience in integrating clinical data using common tools such as Apache NiFi, MapForce, Microsoft SSIS or KNIME, or similar
  • Ideally, you have already gained practical experience in processes and documentation within a hospital environment
  • Initial experience in working with complex clinical application systems (from a user or admin perspective) is desirable
  • You are characterised by a high degree of initiative
