What HIP makes possible in practice.
Digital transformation is not defined by technology alone, but by what it enables for care delivery, research and collaboration. Our customers describe how they use HIP, make data usable for the long term and build new initiatives on a shared foundation.
CACAO healthcare platform
CACAO selects vitagroup as partner for openEHR
CACAO, the leading Dutch platform for connected care, relies on vitagroup’s Health Intelligence Platform (HIP) and openEHR. The partnership creates an open, scalable information infrastructure in which health data can be structured, shared and used over the long term across organisational and system boundaries.
CACAO focuses on networked care in which the citizen is at the centre and healthcare organisations collaborate across organisational and system boundaries in the citizen’s lifelong care record. This requires an open standard for storing healthcare-related information. That standard is openEHR.

SHG Clinics Völklingen
Teleconsultations for closer collaboration between hospital sites
SHG Clinics Völklingen and Knappschaft Clinics Saar Püttlingen have introduced a digital teleconsultation service. Consultation requests and responses are created in a structured format, documented centrally and made traceable for everyone involved. This makes specialist expertise available more quickly and strengthens collaboration across sites.
With the new teleconsultation service, we are strengthening long-term medical collaboration between our two hospitals. Patients will benefit in particular because specialist expertise will be available more quickly and treatment pathways can be coordinated more efficiently. At the same time, we are establishing modern digital structures that support sustainable, high-quality healthcare for the region.

CatSalut, Catalonia
A high-performance foundation for a unified longitudinal health record
The Catalan health service CatSalut is developing the infrastructure for a unified clinical data platform together with vitagroup and IBM. HIP provides the standardised HIP Clinical Data Repository (HIP CDR), making health information available across the entire region.
We’re pleased to extend our partnership with vitagroup and IBM as we continue moving toward a single patient record for Catalonia. The platform has proven both reliable and high-performing, giving us a strong foundation for more connected, person-centred care.

Dillingen-Wertingen District Hospitals
The foundation for a long-term digitalisation strategy
Since 2024, Dillingen-Wertingen District Hospitals have used HIP to make data from different systems available centrally, in structured form and across systems. The platform provides the foundation for breaking down data silos and progressively advancing digitalisation initiatives.
Our HIP is the foundation of all our digitalisation projects. It breaks down data silos and stores data in a centralised and highly structured way. This makes it available to all other systems in an appropriate manner.

Central Institute of Mental Health Mannheim (ZI)
Making structured health data usable for research
The Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim is building a research IT platform with HIP. Data from different IT systems is brought together centrally, structured and made accessible to authorised researchers. In the future, the platform is also intended to support research projects across multiple sites.
We are delighted to have found a solution in vitagroup’s HIP that will enable us to continue to build up the treasure trove of data that is so important for our research.

St. Antonius Hospital Cologne
A vendor-independent data foundation for digital care delivery
St. Antonius Hospital Cologne uses HIP to make health information from different systems available centrally and in a structured form. This provides the foundation for selecting and integrating digital solutions in line with its needs, and for using clinically relevant information across systems.
We are very pleased to have chosen to deploy vitagroup's HIP. This central data store opens up a wide range of new possibilities for us in patient care.
